Wow, it’s been a while… but yes, I am still here!
I’ve been working hard, navigating the crushing effect of AI on the music industry and freelance music market, and just living life. Music, by itself, isn’t my full-time job anymore, but I am certainly still writing and reviewing, etc.
I started working at Sound Yeti as a sound designer and creating social media posts, helping with customer support, etc, and I also record foley and SFX for Epic Stock Media these days as well. I contributed to Sound Yeti’s Revelation Hybrid Mallets and recorded soundscapes for the latest Epic Stock Media releases, plus some upcoming ones.
I’ve written a couple more film scores, the most recent one, Phantasmic, just dropped! Check it out below, the performance by actress Jackie Kelly is simply extraordinary.
I took a trip to Mongolia with the same people who created The Circle, the documentary I scored in 2020. Talk about life-changing- it all came from answering a music gig on Facebook, and it ended with lifelong friendships and a life-changing trip into the remote wilderness of the Mongolian Steppe.
